House Bill 1201 – Companion Animal Sterilization Bill
SNSI and the ASPCA are working together on important legislation to help Indiana cats and dogs. The Indiana House of Representatives unanimously passed HB 1201, with a vote of 95-0! The bill now moves to the Senate. We urgently need your voice to ensure it passes the Senate, too!
Please visit the ASPCA Advocacy Center now to contact your state senator in Indianapolis and urge him or her to support this humane, lifesaving measure!
This program helps people who might not otherwise afford to have their pets fixed. It is available in the months of February and October. All you have to do is print the certificate. Schedule an appointment with the participating veterinarian of your choice and pay at the time of surgery. Download the February Have a Heart Certificate
Spay-Neuter Services of Indiana provides spay & neuter assistance.
SNSI helps Hoosiers get them fixed by providing low-cost surgery certificates to limited-income individuals and free surgery certificates to 501(c)(3) non-profit animal welfare groups and municipal shelters. A statewide network of veterinarians graciously discount their services for our clients, and SNSI pays the remaining cost. Since our inception in 1977, we have helped more than 91,000 families spay or neuter their pets.
In addition to providing direct services, SNSI also works to provide information regarding resources in your area. Learn more by visiting our Indiana Animals Resources Listed by County map.
The Spay-Neuter Assistance Program is for limited income pet owners. Pet owners pay $20 per surgery in SNSI’s statewide network after meeting eligibility requirements.
